Fedcap’s Career Advance program for individuals with a history of court involvement addresses criminal justice barriers that hinder the population from obtaining, retaining, and advancing in employment.
Fedcap’s Career Advance – Criminal Justice Involved (CJI) program provides supportive services, opportunities for educational and vocational training, job search and work readiness training, and successful job placement to individuals with a history of court involvement residing in the 5 boroughs.
Participants have access to a comprehensive team of individuals and engage in re-entry workshops that address overcoming the employment barriers of a criminal justice background. Fedcap staff coordinate care with community supervision (parole and probation.) Services also include workshops on how to discuss your background and history with an employer and knowing your rights by educating participants on the Fair Chance Act.
Participants are referred to our Career Advance – Criminal Justice Involved program through NYC’s Human Resources Administration (HRA).
